Takanawa Gateway City’s new CM “Mysterious Gateway Entrance Chapter” featuring Shinichi Tsutsumi and Ami Takezawa begins airing!

CM Overview

East Japan Railway Company (JR East) introduces a new commercial beginning on November 1st, showcasing the development project “TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY.” Tsutsumi Shinichi plays the role of a gatekeeper, and Toma Ami appears as a woman on a stroll, engaging in a dialogue centered around the “gateway” to the future. The commercial aims to build anticipation towards the town’s opening in March 2025.

【CM Story】 The setting is a pure white space where a mysterious gateway stands. Tsumi Shinichi, wearing a uniform, is standing there. Ami Toma, out walking her dog, appears. Toma asks, “Um, what is this gate?” Tsumi replies, “Oh, this is not a gate. It’s a gateway.” Toma then asks, “Does it lead somewhere? This…gateway?” showing great interest in the mysterious gateway. Tsumi warmly responds, “This connects to the world and the future way of living, like an entranceway.” As Toma eagerly opens the gateway to take a peek inside, Tsumi exclaims, “Wait!” Light and wind seep through the open gateway, revealing a breathtaking scene beyond, prompting Toma to excitedly exclaim, “Wow!” After closing the gateway, Toma turns to Tsumi and remarks, “It was still under construction.” Tsumi, slightly embarrassed, agrees with a shy smile. The “TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY”, serving as a gateway to a bright future, is currently under preparation for the grand opening on March 27th.
