Recruit will start airing a new TV commercial featuring YOASOBI, called “Even though I don’t know, even so,” starting from November 11, 2024. In celebration of YOASOBI’s 5th anniversary, the song “New me” will be used as the tie-up song, and the commercial will symbolize new encounters and challenges. The commercial depicts the protagonist taking a step forward despite their troubles and doubts, along with YOASOBI’s music playing in the background.

YOASOBI has been featured in the new TV commercial from Recruit. The second installment, titled “Encounters and Music Yet to be Found Here,” is a special edition collaboration with the novel posting site “monogatary.com,” which was the catalyst for the birth of YOASOBI, and the literary magazine “Bungei” published by Kawade Shobo Shinsha. This collaboration was realized through the novel contest “Monokon 2023 Bungei × monogatary.com Collaboration Award,” with the theme of “encounter” or “meeting unexpectedly,” which resonates with Recruit’s brand message of “Encounters and Music Yet to be Found Here.” In this TV commercial, marking the 5th anniversary of YOASOBI’s formation on October 1, 2024, they use their newly composed song, “New me,” based on the winning work “The Incident on Hakusan Street Igniting” from “Monokon 2023.” The commercial begins with intentionally imperfect monochrome animation to express the worries and uncertainties everyone faces. As the story progresses, the protagonist says, “I won’t forget the step I took even when I didn’t understand,” leading the world to be vividly colored and ultimately culminating in a rainbow depicted in the Recruit brand message logo saying “Encounters and Music Yet to be Found Here.” Together with YOASOBI’s music, the commercial aims to evoke expectations for the beginning of a new journey.
