Yumi Kawai makes her first appearance in the new Knorr® Cup Soup commercial! Enhancing family scenes with three varieties: corn, potage, and onion consommé.

CM Overview

Ajinomoto Co., Inc. will begin airing new commercials for “Knorr Cup Soup” featuring actor Yuumi Kawai from September 25, 2024. The commercials titled “Making mornings happy with corn,” “Potage for the age,” and “The formula for a feast” will be broadcast nationwide. Yuumi Kawai will express the charm of each soup in everyday scenes with her family, depicting conversations sparked by the soup.

■CM Story Corn Cream “A Happy Morning with Corn” Version When the younger brother, just out of bed, walks into the living room, he is drawn to the sweet aroma of the corn cream that Kaio-san is drinking, and exclaims, “It’s soup!” with excitement. The younger brother, after tasting the corn cream, reacts with a big smile and says, “So sweet!” Following the narration saying, “When faced with corn, you become corn-faced,” Kaio-san also shows a delighted expression saying, “Then I will too.” The highlight is the “corn-faced” expression that is filled with the sweetness of the Super Sweet Corn. Potage “The Age of Understanding Potage” Version Along with the narration, “I’m not a child anymore, I can appreciate the depth of potage,” Kaio-san slowly savors the potage with six types of vegetables such as potatoes, onions, and carrots. Demonstrating an understanding of its flavor, the “age of understanding” Kaio-san unintentionally murmurs, “Even a boyfriend…” which surprises the father who was drinking soup with her exclaiming, “A boyfriend!?” In reaction to her father’s surprise, Kaio-san covers her face with the soup mug to hide her shyness. She conveys the deep richness of the potage with an expression that signifies entering the realm of adults. Onion Consomme “The Formula for Gourmet” Version Kaio-san is practicing making hamburgers to treat someone. She asks her sister to taste-test. Although it was made well, it lacked a bit of a gourmet feeling, causing confusion between them. Then, Kaio-san comes up with the idea of adding a menu with Onion Consomme soup, where the deliciousness and nutrients of multiple vegetables and meat are blended. With the addition of the rich flavors of beef and onions, the Onion Consomme soup soon transforms the normal meal into a gourmet menu. It’s truly “the formula for gourmet.” The sisters exclaim, “This is a feast!” at the deliciousness of the soup in unison. Their expressions represent the charm of the Onion Consomme soup.
