CM Overview
A new commercial featuring actor Koseki Yuta and model/actress Yokota Mayu, “If it’s your true love, use Pairs: Two Yutas/Mayu Edition,” will be released at the end of April. In this commercial, Pairs’ new feature “Honne Match” is used to express how you can meet a compatible partner based on your true romantic conditions and values. Focusing on the troubles of users who cannot write their true feelings in order to meet the expectations of the opposite sex, Koseki Yuta and Yokota Mayu play two roles, acting out both their public image and their true feelings. Through realistic situations in which Koseki is the type who takes the lead but shows off, and Yokota is hesitant to contact her partner every day, the commercial conveys that you can meet a compatible partner by expressing your true feelings on Pairs.

■ “If you’re serious, use Pairs: Two Mayu’s Edition”
The story begins with “Mayu” creating a profile on Pairs. When “Mayu” answers “occasionally OK” to a question about “frequency of contact,” “the other Mayu” retorts, “No, no, you’re the daily type!”. After learning that she actually wants to contact her partner every day, “Mayu” worries that if she writes her true feelings, she’ll be seen as clingy, but when she finally answers “daily contact,” Pairs’ new feature “True Feelings Match” secretly pairs her with “Yuta.”
■ “If it’s your true love, use Pairs: Two Yutas”
The story begins with “Yuta” creating a profile on Pairs. When “Yuta” answers “I want to lead” to the question “Who will take the lead on a date?”, “The other Yuta” cuts in and says “You want to be led, right?”. When it turns out that “Yuta” is actually the type who wants the other person to lead, he seems to worry about wanting to look cool… but in the end, by entering “I want to be led” and his true feelings into Pairs’ new feature “Honest Match,” he was able to meet “Mayu,” who was paired with him by AI.
[Commercial filming episodes]
In the scene where they played two roles using digital technology, the film crew cooperated with a staff member of the same height as Koseki and Yokota, so much so that one member of the film crew said, “I didn’t know which one was the real person for a moment.” The two of them took multiple retakes to get the right tempo and position of the dialogue with the “other self” they played, and you could feel the commitment of the two, who are in the third “Honne Nara Pairs” commercial series. In between filming scenes, they also shared updates on each other, creating a friendly atmosphere that only a couple can have. In the scene where they matched up and looked at each other, the timing was fine-tuned and there was a serious atmosphere, but when the voice said “Cut! OK!”, they both relaxed and laughed, which was a heartwarming and heart-warming scene.
